A field-day of foraging for flavours in the forest!

Join wild-food and herbal enthusiast Denis Manzer for a guided exploration of the edible and medicinal native wild plants that grow abundantly in the foothills forests near Calgary.

You will be initiated into:

  • The identification of the plant species that provide delicious edible & medicinal flavours
  • Sustainable harvesting techniques to guarantee the survival of the plant species
  •  In-Depth information related to the healing properties of these powerful plants


We will be gathering quantities of the plants that we find during the day for the class that will be held on Sunday @ The Light Cellar:  Foraged Flavours: Wild & Edible Medicinal Plants Preparation Techniques

Logistics:

Meet @ The Light Cellar at 9 A.M.  sharp where we will be organizing car-pools to take everyone out into the crown-land public forests in Kananaskis. We will aim to be back by 3pm.
